Policies at 9 Academy

Upon receipt of a confirmed reservation all guests agree to abide by the following rules and policies:

CANCELLATIONS, CHECKING IN AND CHECKING OUT
We accept reservations online. As a small 3 suite property, last minute cancellations can greatly impact our business.

For reservations made less than 180 days in advance a 100% payment is required at booking. For reservations made more than 180 days in advance we collect a 50% deposit and the balance is due 45 days prior to your arrival.

Our room rates are based on double occupancy . There is an additional charge levied for each person in excess. Please indicate how many are in your party when making your reservation and our system will calculate the appropriate charges. Please notify us in advance at (860) 318 5648 of any changes to your party size in excess of two. Please do not show up at the property if your reservation does not accurately reflect your party size. We reserve the right to charge the card on file the additional nightly fee for any additional guests not indicated at the time of booking or pre-arranged by the principal guest.

Reservations are 100% refundable if cancelled 45 days or more prior to check-in date. ( Please note: guests are responsible for any credit card processing fees incurred and they will be deducted from any refund owed).

Reservations are 50% refundable if cancelled fewer than 45 days but, more than 72 hours prior to 3pm EST on check-in date.

Reservations are non-refundable if cancelled within 72 hours of 3pm EST on check-in date.

We reserve the right to collect all charges due to us before and after your stay ( including for additional occupancy and damage/ theft ) under the terms outlined in this policy document.

A full house buyout requires a minimum of six weeks notice. We charge a non-refundable processing fee of $50 per suite for this booking option. Please contact us directly at (860) 318-5648 or info@9academyct.com to discuss your plans.

Check in: 3:00PM ** If you plan on arriving after 10PM you must inform us in advance.
Check out: 11:00AM

Early check-ins and late checkouts are subject to availability for an additional fee. Please contact us.

For your convenience we offer a contactless check in/out process. Full instructions will be sent to you via the email you have provided 24 hours prior to your arrival. We maintain concierge hours between 8:00am ET and 10:00pm EST you may reach us via email info@9academyct.com or by voice/text at (860) 318 5648

Please note: our gardens are currently being worked on and will be complete for the Summer 2025 season subject to weather conditions.

QUIET TIME
Strictly 10pm . We ask that you please respect other guests when moving about the property and keep noise levels to a minimum at all times both inside and outside of your suite but, especially after this time period. Please inform us of any violations to this policy immediately.

ROOM TURNOVER/ TURNDOWN

We do not offer turndown, room cleaning or fresh towel services on a daily basis. We provide ample towels/linens in advance based on your party size and for the length of your stay. Guests may launder the towels with the detergents provided as required. We will provide additional toiletries and trash removal upon request for guests who are staying longer than 3 nights. Additional pillows/bedding may be requested , subject to availability.

MINIMUM STAY
We require a 2 night minimum stay Friday, Saturday and on Holidays/ Peak periods.

SMOKING
9 Academy is strictly a non-smoking property.

Please note: For the safety of our guests and property we maintain a 24/7 monitored fire/smoke and CO2 detection system throughout 9 Academy. In the event that the system is activated accidentally or otherwise please contact us immediately at (860) 318 5648 . Guests may not tamper with, cover or in any way attempt to disable the system themselves. We reserve the right to charge all service costs /repairs associated with such actions to the guests credit card on file.

PARKING
An on-site designated parking spot for each suite is available in the front of the building . Please note: We can accommodate only one vehicle per suite. Parking is for registered guests only. Please park nose-in facing the “Guest Parking” signs.

VISITORS
9 Academy is located in a small village setting. In order to maintain the quiet experience our guests and neighbors expect, we do not allow visitors, parties or disruptive gatherings anywhere at the property. ONLY registered guests are allowed in the suites and the garden areas. We respectfully ask for your understanding and compliance on this subject.

DAMAGE / THEFT OF PROPERTY  
The registered guest/s will be held responsible for any theft or damage to the property caused by themselves or any person for whom they are responsible for the duration of their stay. Any damage/theft charges are the sole responsibility of the guest/s. We reserve the right to charge all fees in full to the credit card on file, including in arrears and/or upon assessment of costs associated with any repair/replacement.

MANAGEMENT’S RIGHTS
It is agreed that the guest will conduct him/ herself in a respectable manner and will not cause any nuisance or annoyance within the hotel premise. The Management has the right to request any guest to vacate his/her room or other areas of the hotel forth with, without previous notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever, and the guest shall be bound to vacate when requested to do so. In case of default, the Management has the right to remove the Guest luggage and belongings from the room occupied by him/her.

RELATION BETWEEN MANAGEMENT AND GUEST
Nothing here in above shall continue or be deemed to constitute, or create any tenancy or sub-tenancy, or any other right to interact in the hotel premises or any part of portion thereof, in favor of any Guest or resident or visitor, and the Management shall always be deemed to be in full and absolute possession of the whole of the hotel premises.
THE MANAGEMENT RESERVES TO ITSELF THE RIGHT TO ADD TO, OR ALTER OR AMEND ANY OF THE ABOVE TERMS, CONDITIONS AND RULES WHICH ARE A PART AND AN ABSTRACT OF THE LODGING ACT.

CHILDREN
In consideration of all guests, we respectfully welcome children aged 8 and over only. Please do not arrive at the property with children who do not meet the age restriction. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation without refund should this be the case.

PETS
9 Academy does not allow pets at this time.
